A focused final review before test day

This one-day workshop helps students prepare strategically for the new PreACT 9 High School Admissions Test. It focuses on Math, Reading, and English—the three sections used to calculate the CPS high school admissions Composite Score.

Students begin with a two-hour timed mock assessment to evaluate accuracy, pacing, and readiness. After a short break, the instructor leads an in-depth review of challenging and commonly missed questions, with targeted strategies students can apply before test day.

Workshop includes

  • Two-hour timed Math, Reading, and English mock assessment
  • Individual performance and weakness analysis
  • Targeted review of challenging and commonly missed questions
  • Math problem-solving, accuracy, and efficiency strategies
  • Reading comprehension and pacing strategies
  • English grammar, usage, and accuracy review
  • Overall pacing and test-day strategies
  • Final recommendations before the October test

Who should attend?

Students seeking a final readiness check, targeted review, and refined test-taking strategy before the October PreACT 9—especially those who want a focused one-day preparation option.

Why these three sections? Science remains part of the PreACT 9 Secure assessment, but it is not included in the CPS high school admissions Composite Score.
